The Automechanika Frankfurt and the specialist medium »kfz-betrieb« awarded the 18. October in the Würzburg Vogel Convention Center the ten best free workshops in Germany. The approximately 230 guests of the ninth award ceremony not only praised the winners of the German Workshop Award. They also had a very emotional event with impressive videos from the winners and lucky winners on the podium.
Top ten operations with high quality service
It was no easy task for the jury to find the best independent workshops. Because all companies or workshop teams have a very high service and work quality. "The winners of the German Workshop Award know the needs of their customers very well and offer them imaginative services. The jury of the German Workshop Award consists of representatives from the editorial department »kfz-betrieb« and the Automechanika. In 1991 the founding fathers bought a piece of land and set up SKN Tuning GmbH. The first exhibition, workshop and office rooms were built on the newly acquired property. From the beginning, the workshop was equipped with a separate engine assembly room (space for more than 6 engines) and a professional machining room. Sales room, parts warehouse and the first administration rooms completed the first SKN building. The company naming arose from the first letters of the shareholders' last names. Mr. Nissel was the managing director of the company from the beginning and was the first to take up his work in the newly founded GmbH. Only a few months later, Mr. Körbes followed and took over the area of spare parts purchasing and sales.
How mature European market leader
1986: There was once a passionate technician in "tender" age of 21 years ... Or so the story could SKN as Europe's leading tuning companies have begun.
