The charge air cooler (LLK) serves as a heat exchanger, which is located in the intake tract of mainly charged engines (Turbocharged or supercharged engines). The LLK (engl. Intercooler) reduces the temperature of compressed fresh air which is supplied to the engine for combustion. He sits in the intake

between compressor and inlet valve. LLK dissipate much of the heat, the compressor is created by the compression of the air in the turbocharger /.

If the compression of the air increases due to, for example, a change in the turbo boost pressure (chip tuning) and / or a richer mixture formation (chip tuning), the temperature of the compressed air supplied increases adequately. If larger / better CACs are used, which have a higher degree of efficiency, for example through more surface area, higher thermal conductivity or the use of a better cooling medium (water), the air supplied can be cooled more deeply. By reducing the temperature of the air supplied, the same volume of air contains a larger air mass, which means that proportionally more fuel can be burned. The charge air cooler thus increases the possible output power and increases the efficiency by lowering the initial temperature.

SPORT Air Filter | airbox

The SPORT Air Filter was developed to guarantee a higher air passage opposite the conventional paper Filter. The SPORT Air Filter permits only one minimum of pressure loss to flowing through air so as to achieve the maximum performance.

All SPORT filters consist of an aluminum mesh, with epoxy coating. This makes them resistant to gasoline vapors and oxidation that would occur due to the humidity. The filtering material consists of special cotton, optionally soaked in an oil or dry, to accommodate the smallest dust particles and to guarantee the highest permeability of air.
